About the Role
Role and Responsibilities:
- Handling shipments
- Export shipments via Air / Road via customer’s requests i.e. Telephone / e-mail
- Collation of Export documentation: formalities / post flight / security procedures / routing of shipments / airline liaison / transport request and reporting / Crosstrade movements
- Export documentation
- Customs – to ensure Custom documentation is in accordance with supplier’s instructions including IPR / OPR / Export Licenses entries
- Pre-alerts / Post Flights
- Quotations
Ideal Candidate/Key competencies: -
- Must have minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience, working on AOG’s in an Export Department, in a Freight Forwarding Company
- Aerospace, shipping Aircraft Parts
- Must be able to work under pressure & tight deadlines
- Comfortable working on their own
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Good time keeping / Attendance
- Computer literate
- Willing to cover opposite shifts holidays from time to time
- Must be a car driver, due to location
- Import Knowledge preferable
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Educated to GCSE standard / A level Standard
- Multi- Lingual advantageous
- Good command of the English language
- Minimum Security Cargo Op Trained
- Forklift License preferred
