Government must show progress on late payment ahead of 2013 EU Directive
There was confirmation last week that the Government would not be seeking an early implementation of a new EU Directive aimed at addressing late payment issues. The REC has raised this and other challenges for SMEs in discussions with Business Minister Mark Prisk and will continue to push for effective action at national level.

Women on Boards: Action needed, but quotas not the answer, says AER
The Association of Executive Recruiters (AER), the REC´s specialist sector group for executive search firms, has responded to Prime Minister´s recent statement on gender balance in UK boardrooms. More progress needs to be made and executive recruiters have a key role to play in delivering tangible change. REC responds to race and recruitment report
The REC has responded to the report published today by Race for Opportunity (RfO) and Diversity Works for London (DWfL) on race and recruitment by underlining the industry´s commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion in UK workplaces. Government announces new framework for recruitment services
